How to Learn Korean Fast and Easy and Why Its Not Difficult

Korean is Not difficult

Since I write about Korean cosmetic many girls ask if I know anything about learning Korean. I hear so many people saying that it's so hard that some people don't even bother learning it even if they are living in Korea. But I find that not totally true. Korean is languages made very logically, and if you just learn those sequence like math (uh oh) it isn't as hard as you imagine. I will be telling you about where you can get training both for free and both with cost. What to choose will totally up to you. But I suggest to do all. for fast and quicker way to learn Korean.

When it comes to hard languages people tend to have negativity towards Korean, Mandarin, and Arabic. But I think "If you Think it is difficult, it will be difficult!" 

Reasons Why It's Not Difficult

#1 Korean Alphabet is not hard at all

Yes it looks no different to Chinese and Japanese but the alphabet itself is not hard as you might think.

You have to think Korean as a block, placed right to left, up and down.

But why does this feel so hard? It's the familiarity that needs to work.
When you read English even if there is typo "yuo cna sme wat udnertnd"
Same thing, with Korean you need to see more Korean and get used to reading it not as a language but as one block of picture. It's just this process feels hard.

You can try to get used to Korean by using Korean keyboard. Did you know that the left hand will only type the Consonant and the right hand only the vowels? By learning to type you naturally learn about the vocabulary very fast. I suggest get a keyboard that has Korean if you can't there is free online Korean typer here.

#2 Logical Grammar

Although things get a little bit more complicated when you talk to elderly. (There is a way of speach depending on the age, job status, etc unlike western country you can't just become friends with anyone older than you, Respect is very strongly followed in Korea.)

• Verbs are easy!

The word -하다(-다) mean "do" just add any noun in front and you make a verb. So easy! Let's say the verb "잘하다" (doing good) it is good + do = doing good.
If you learn some verbs you will notice that it's very similar with adverbs and passives. So learn one verb you learn more!

• Nouns Don't Change

In English you guys give different nouns depending on the gender or number etc. Like "He, She, You, We" this makes it hard for Koreans to learn English but it will be easy for you! Korean don't change the noun. Example, "너"(you) it's the same for she, he or it. If we add "에게"(to) 너에게 means "to you".

• No Descriptive Verbs

If you want to say "I am Cool" in Korea we just simply say "I Cool" There might be bit of change to the verb such as adding "-이다"(it is) example : 바나나이다(It is a Banana)
You will get used to the pattern to the additional stuff soon but overall the pattern is not too hard to notice the pattern, isn't it?

#3 Easier for English Speaker

You don't know how many Konglishes there is in Korea. Konglish is Korean words that is pronounced like a English word. You will quickly catch these words and you will still be speaking Korean and it means the same thing.
e.g Banana (바나나 : Ba-Na-NA), Switch (스위치 : S-We-Chi)

#4 Phonic Is Piece of Cake

Unlike some English word that is pronounce so different than how it was spelled. Korean is read exactly as it is written.
The only thing that you will feel uncomfortable is that the some emerge together which is bit hard to pronounce like 'ㄴ'+'ㄹ' will pronounced not as -n + Li it is pro nounced as -nol + Li. There are set of sound that emerge like this. It's hard to pronounce but you'll get it soon :)

How to Learn Korean Fast and Easy

1. Good Book #1 : Korean for Beginners : Mastering conversational Korea 

A good book that I saw in a book store the other day is Korean for Beginners : Mastering conversational Korea by Kyubyoung Park, I love that it's not a very long book but has all the information for beginners. This is more for those who start with no knowledge of basic of Korean and how Korean works. The CD also comes with good pronunciation of Korean that will help you get started with your Korean.

2. Good Book #2 : Elementary Korean (2nd Edition) by Ross King

Great book great for starters I suggest you either go for Book #1 or this one. Although the audio isn't the best but the book itself is great for every beginners!

3. Paid Learning Program : Rocket Languages Korean
I saw good review about this program for speaking but has it's own limit.

4. Youtube Classes

I see a lot of subbed drama and talk shows and even more classes of Korean Learning

One YouTube that caught my notice was a YouTube of Korean girls learning English!

Well take it to your advantage and learn Korean the other way around

After month after month I started to get a lot of encouragement and cheers and love from so many readers all around the globe, it have became part of joy in my life that I forever cherish. Monday Tea Time with Lady Fox~ Monday Poll and Questions!

Hey everyone, it's been awhile since I did any Monday Tea time. But I felt I should do more of this often, since it's fun to get to know you and let you know more about me outside of cosmetic.

But the main reason I am doing this is not related to the previous way I did Monday Tea Time with Lady Fox. I wanted to take some time, to thank every reader who trusted me and participated in "Shopping with Lady Fox". This even is still on going and I am not planning to stop any time soon. But I just wanted to take time to take notice all the readers who have bought products through me.

I started this event to give more meaning into my post.

WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS?

I'm sure many of you might ask this question, because I clearly don't get any benefit through this. I don't make money, nor do I get any promoting from the brand (Actually so far I got none...:"(..either I'm unlucky or hated by the brands) I started doing this just to help out readers who was having so much trouble getting the products that I reviewed. I have strong belief that all my reviews products are worth trying, but if no one can get it, I find my review post worthless.

I got this question a lot, I'm not sure why.

No I am not a full time blogger, that is why I sometimes have hard time promptly sending packages and replying messages. I send packages whenever I go close to a post office, buy stuff on my way home from work. If I am just too busy even to visit I'll order from the official brand site. Some of my readers kindly understand how it's hard for me to find time to help out readers between my personal life and work life. While some might not be so understanding. So if it's okay I apologize if I can't meet all your expectation when you order, I ask for kind and love and understanding. :)

Hey gals! Happy New Year!!!!
I wanted to make this post as a year rap up and combine with the Monday Tea time with Lady Fox, I know I haven't been doing this Daily Monday Post in a while...Few Readers said they like these kinda post and wish to see more so I decided to resume Monday Tea Time with Lady Fox post XD

It's been a year since I opened this blog and my first few blog post wasn't as informative and there wasn't a lot of comment. It took me some more few post as I upgrade each one into a better review that people will find useful.

Later on I started to get small comments encouraging me to do better!
I loved reading comments and helping out readers who is lost in cosmetic. Readers who are new to cosmetic. As I introduce more cosmetic and review my recommendation, I realized not many people know about various other Korean Cosmetic brands. So I did my best to review some new brands that I think my readers should know.

Soon, I started to do mixture of things, brands that my readers love, like etude house, mule, etc. and brands that is not known, like lable young, lotree, beauty recipe etc.
Now I started to do comparison with western brands like I did for Clio.

Many readers found this useful and enjoyed my review more and more as I tried my best to make the review better than the last one.

Of course there were problems along the way.
"Where do you buy this cosmetic?"
"How much is this?"
"I can't find them in Ebay!"
Well, I did a lot of work on my reviews it would be a bummer if no one can get these cosmetic. So I started a special even for my readers "Shopping with Lady Fox" through my FB and my Email I received reader's products they wish me to get for them in Korea. I really enjoyed personally talking with my readers, there were even readers who just wish to order through me just to help out my event! I was so thankful for all my readers who trusted me to get their cosmetic and helping out my event! I won't call out names but I know you know who you are XD



As I do my event I realized... my readers became my friends all around the globe.
I get a lot of mails from my readers and we chat! XD now that I have too many my reply tend to be late :)

Well, I was helping out my mom moving her house and even I had to move.
In the cold winter weather I had to go around in cold looking for a house to rent. It took a week to look and a week to move my mom's home and a week to look for my place to rent and a week to move! I never knew moving was such a crazy thing. I still ache all over the place and yet I still need to work :/ All these thing pilled up and I even had Big Sales in Korea that many of my readers wanted to enjoy. So I helped them out all in all I was too tired to work on my post and work on my youtube videos. Since I work all of this alone it was just too much for me to post up. But I also missed reviewing cosmetic to you guys :)

I enjoyed the almost rain-hard-hits of snow so thick and pretty flowing down and the trees pilled pretty.

MONDAY TEA TIME WITH LADY FOX, WEEKLY POLL #2

How do you write such good post?

I'm not being humble or anything, I never thought my posts are good. I lack grammar and sometimes I wished my skin was in better condition for pictures.

But since many asked about this I decided to tell you how I write post.

First off, I am very picky on what products I should write, I have used tones of cosmetic, but I only introduce you one of my top 1% cosmetic or cosmetic that I think is worth having. I would go around Korean Blogs or Offline shop and test out to see which one I like, I buy samples if not available I buy the cosmetic and try it out. If I liked the samples I would buy the original ones and test it out a few days. If I decided that it is the best product I have then I start taking pictures. Just because I took pictures doesn't mean I post it right away. I give it a time to work on my skin to see if there is any skin troubles because of the product. If I experienced nothing I post it up with my opinion.
Second I take pictures of everything I can! and try to keep it in the BEST quality as I can. I feel especially in Fashion and Cosmetic Pictures are very important. So I tend to let the pictures to do all the talking. Most other post tend to have more text and small pictures. I keep all my pictures XLARGE, but in good quality.
Third, I use and tend to write down good or bad opinion about the product. If I can't think of a opinion I wear it and use it until I do. I write it down because I tend to forget after a while so noting it down is very important! In Skin care product to see effect is not that easy. So I keep using it until I see some difference and see how worth the cosmetic is. 
Lastly, I have fun! I enjoy posting blog post for my readers and enjoy listening what they think about the product. Sometimes they would ask me more details or give me questions. I put all that into consideration the next time I post another Review.

I tend to like the music more than the singers XD

So I really don't have favorites. but if I have to choose, I like IU, 2ne1, CNBlue, Yunhwa, etc. Anyone with good voice and music!

What is your Favorite CC Cream?

Actually I like a lot of CC cream. but I like Banila Co CC Cream because I have a good memory with that product. *Aham* I am bit embarrassed to say but, my BF said I looked beautiful that day, when I used this CC Cream. So since than this is my ultimate favorite CC cream. I know I should think about Cream features and quality, but regardless of that He said I looked Beautiful, that's enough for me. XD

Where you ever embarrassed about your cosmetic collection?

A reader mailed me this question, and I thought there are lots of girls out there with lot of cosmetic that some times people frown upon so I decided to share my answer.

Yes, I did felt embarrassed to show my cosmetic collection. You see, I do have more cosmetic than most normal girls, and my BF would raise a eyebrow and ask me "Do you really need another pink lipstick?" Of course in my eyes this is not pink but plum. I think he's color blind or something. XD

But he doesn't care much about my cosmetic, though he would point out like that once in a while. 

I do have friends who would say, You have too many cosmetic! I would joke with them, yeah it's a lot, I get to change my lip colors every day and for few months my lips color won't be the same! 

Of course there are people who don't get my humor and would look at me like I'm crazy or wired. I would say something like, "Yeah it's a lot of cosmetic, I can see this pink lipstick would look lovely on you, do you mind if I introduce you to some?" and sometimes give some products along the way. (most refused because it's a used cosmetic) I guess it's one of things I have to go through for my LOVE of cosmetic. Though embarrassed I try my best to smile and get them to like my cosmetic like I do.

Have you used brands other than Korean Brands?

Of course I have!!!

Mac, Bobbi Brown, Makeup forever, etc. you name it I've used them all.

I've used western brands but I learned to love Korean Cosmetic more than American Brands. Especially when it comes to Skin Care Products. I find Korean Brands tend to work much faster and better and feel much lighter than Western Brands. Plus, Western Brands makes cosmetic for oily skin, I have combination so I find Korean Cosmetic works better for me. 

These days I'm started to take interest in Japanese Brands. XD

Monday Tea Time with Lady Fox, Weekly Poll

I decided to make a weekly poll!!!!!

I have many flaws in my skin and it's always important to cover them up so that I still look I'm in early 20's! So what's my favorite?
OF COURSE MY THE FACE SHOP CONCEALER!

Where is your favorite places to shop Cosmetic?

MeongDong! Maybe because of all the foreigners, I feel their servies for samples are much nicer, Plus I love MeongDong Noodles, if you ever visit Korea, it's one of the must-go places! XD

What is your favorite fruit?

I love berries!!!! Blue Berries, Raspberry, Strawberry!!!

What Makeup are you Wearing?

LOL. I didn't have to do makeup today because I could stay home to do work.
So I just wore, my favorite lip moisturizer, Uriage stick levres and moisturizing cream, BEAUTY RECIPE LITTLE MERMAID AQUA MOIST CREAM

What is your favorite thing to do in your free time?

I like to listen to music both K pop and R&B, and I tend to sing along while listening, I probably killed many birds flying by. I also like to search online for new cosmetic that have come out, if I find any I ask for samples and see reviews. If I have so testers I test them out before buying any actually product. Once I do buy the actual product I write a review and share it with you all XD
