MONDAY TEA TIME WITH LADY FOX, WEEKLY POLL #2

How do you write such good post?

I'm not being humble or anything, I never thought my posts are good. I lack grammar and sometimes I wished my skin was in better condition for pictures.

But since many asked about this I decided to tell you how I write post.

First off, I am very picky on what products I should write, I have used tones of cosmetic, but I only introduce you one of my top 1% cosmetic or cosmetic that I think is worth having. I would go around Korean Blogs or Offline shop and test out to see which one I like, I buy samples if not available I buy the cosmetic and try it out. If I liked the samples I would buy the original ones and test it out a few days. If I decided that it is the best product I have then I start taking pictures. Just because I took pictures doesn't mean I post it right away. I give it a time to work on my skin to see if there is any skin troubles because of the product. If I experienced nothing I post it up with my opinion.
Second I take pictures of everything I can! and try to keep it in the BEST quality as I can. I feel especially in Fashion and Cosmetic Pictures are very important. So I tend to let the pictures to do all the talking. Most other post tend to have more text and small pictures. I keep all my pictures XLARGE, but in good quality.
Third, I use and tend to write down good or bad opinion about the product. If I can't think of a opinion I wear it and use it until I do. I write it down because I tend to forget after a while so noting it down is very important! In Skin care product to see effect is not that easy. So I keep using it until I see some difference and see how worth the cosmetic is.
Lastly, I have fun! I enjoy posting blog post for my readers and enjoy listening what they think about the product. Sometimes they would ask me more details or give me questions. I put all that into consideration the next time I post another Review.

What are your favorite K pop Groups?

I tend to like the music more than the singers XD
So I really don't have favorites. but if I have to choose, I like IU, 2ne1, CNBlue, Yunhwa, etc. Anyone with good voice and music!

What is your Favorite CC Cream?

Actually I like a lot of CC cream. but I like Banila Co CC Cream because I have a good memory with that product. *Aham* I am bit embarrassed to say but, my BF said I looked beautiful that day, when I used this CC Cream. So since than this is my ultimate favorite CC cream. I know I should think about Cream features and quality, but regardless of that He said I looked Beautiful, that's enough for me. XD

Where you ever embarrassed about your cosmetic collection?

A reader mailed me this question, and I thought there are lots of girls out there with lot of cosmetic that some times people frown upon so I decided to share my answer.

Yes, I did felt embarrassed to show my cosmetic collection. You see, I do have more cosmetic than most normal girls, and my BF would raise a eyebrow and ask me "Do you really need another pink lipstick?" Of course in my eyes this is not pink but plum. I think he's color blind or something. XD
But he doesn't care much about my cosmetic, though he would point out like that once in a while.
I do have friends who would say, You have too many cosmetic! I would joke with them, yeah it's a lot, I get to change my lip colors every day and for few months my lips color won't be the same!
Of course there are people who don't get my humor and would look at me like I'm crazy or wired. I would say something like, "Yeah it's a lot of cosmetic, I can see this pink lipstick would look lovely on you, do you mind if I introduce you to some?" and sometimes give some products along the way. (most refused because it's a used cosmetic) I guess it's one of things I have to go through for my LOVE of cosmetic. Though embarrassed I try my best to smile and get them to like my cosmetic like I do.

Have you used brands other than Korean Brands?

Of course I have!!!
Mac, Bobbi Brown, Makeup forever, etc. you name it I've used them all.
I've used western brands but I learned to love Korean Cosmetic more than American Brands. Especially when it comes to Skin Care Products. I find Korean Brands tend to work much faster and better and feel much lighter than Western Brands. Plus, Western Brands makes cosmetic for oily skin, I have combination so I find Korean Cosmetic works better for me.
These days I'm started to take interest in Japanese Brands. XD

#1 What do you expect from Beauty Blogs?

Review of course! I used to read a lot of Korean beauty blogs though I don't even understand any of them..hehe..it's enough through pictures I guess. One more, I love to see unique products review , like products that never been mentioned in blogs much but it's actually good. I'm more to make-up person i guess..hehe

    New products? Good Reviews? Events?
-I choose new products! Since I love Korean cosmetics a lot and it's too bad that I live internationally so the products will arrive a bit later than in Korea so new products review are truly appreciated so I can decide what to buy right away..:D

I love BIGBANG so much!!I've been their loyal fan since 2008 if I'm not wrong. I found them by coincidence that time from reading a magazine. Even now if someone asked me or talked to me about the new groups, I don't even know them coz maybe I'm the older generation fan..hahaha..their fav song will always be "Lies" and "Haru Haru" ;)

  2. Ooh, I love segments like these!

Definitely good reviews! I don't like event posts - they are pretty useless since they only cater to established bloggers and are nothing but extra advertisements to us readers. Some argue that they provide a way to get a sneak peek and first impressions of newly launched products, but I'd rather take a thorough review of a product even though it is a bit late. Since you are Korean, you definitely have an advantage over bloggers based in the West since you have access to the products earlier and can be the first to offer swatches of new products and such, and you are also able to review products that aren't popular in the Asian beauty community and don't have any reviews.

I don't really have a huge cosmetic collection since I am mostly interested in skincare. I used to hoard makeup as well, but today I play it safe with cosmetics and I have a basic routine with products that I have a used for a while. I do try new products from time to time, but only if I feel that something is missing or can be improved in my current routine. However, the exception to this are dark lipsticks - I cannot get enough!

I used to use the usual brands: MAC, Bobbi Brown, MUFE, Maybelline but I stopped using those a long time ago because it was cheaper to experiment with Asian brands. I also find that Western skincare isn't as innovative as Asian skincare is, and it is waaaaaay more expensive too.

    1. Thank you dear, I'm glad you are enjoy new product and unpopular products I introduce XD
It's nice to keep your makeup simple, it's much better for you skin anyway. I see you like strong pigment lipsticks XD I've uplaod Holika Holika Tint Pencil product review is there are color you like?
Western Brands tend to be too expensive..:( I like Korean Skincare the best I guess because Korean people likes pale skin so much they make a lot of skin care product that has whitening effect I love those XD

  3. #1 What do you expect from Beauty Blogs? New products & good reviews of course! I would like to see what are the new products, popular products and new trends in Korea! (: and your reviews will help me to decide whether I should try the product! (:

#2 Favorite kpop stars are 2NE1, Big Bang, MBLAQ, CNBLUE (: I've seen some of the newer grps like lunafly (have you heard of them? They have some nice songs!) & c-clown!

#3 I'm more of a BB cream & CC cream person! Have a Laneige BB Cushion, but since CC cream is the trend now, I'm looking for a good CC cream for combination skin! (:

#4 Currently a laneige collection. I wasn't too keen on makeup last time, so I didn't really try much makeup.. hehe!

#5 I've tried Fancl & Kose! Both are Japanese brands.

A question for you! (: After watching beauty shows, I realized that there are many skincare products to be applied. Like toner, emulsion, essence, ampoule, cream, etc. What is the order for applying the products? (: thank you!
