All-Time Popular Moisturizing Ingredients VS Current Trend In Korean Skin Care Moisturizing

These days I see a lot of product in Korean Market where products are advertised that they 'increased' moisturizing features. Yeah, well I know all too much about ingredients to fall for such "exaggerating ads". However I did notice bit of a change in moisturizing ingredients, and the change on the effect of the same moisturizing ingredients.

If you have read my post in skin care you know that dry skin results primarily from low moisture levels on your skin. You can re-hydrate your skin by skin care products that helps your skin regain the lost moist from whatever you been torturing your skin with (heater, electronic, harsh cold winds, excessive cleansing, etc).

Yes you can decide the best product for you through advertisement and reviews but it's best to recognize some of the ingredients that you should be checking on the product before use.

All-Time Popular Moisturizing Ingredients VS Current Trend In Korean Skin Care Moisturizing

Famous Moisturizer Ingredients That Has Been Used For A LONG TIME

1) Glycerin

This ingredients is very similar to the natural moist ingredients on your skin. It does give immediate moisturizing effect however if you live in dry climate it could just just dehydrate and give your skin the feeling of being dry even after skin care.

2) Hyaluronic Acid

Another natural ingredients for the skin. This ingredient gets absorbed inside the skin so the moist last much longer.

So it's much better ingredient then Glycerin for dry skin. The reason it is loved is because of the fast absorbency, little to no stickiness and it's really good ingredient to sensitive and oily skin.

3) Shea Butter

There is litterly a whole line for this product and it seems to be available for all cosmetic brand. It's a natural fruit plant ingredients, it gives a very thin oil barrier to prevent moist lost.

Because of the high moisturizing, it's been used more often on body moisturizing than facial cream. I do believe Faceshop did manage to make it for skin care and it's very popular to dry skin girls.

Ingredients That Are At Trend

1) Ceramide, Cholesterol

I believe that CNP brand started the Ceramide line trend, if I am wrong let me know.
This ingredient is similar to natural fatty layer on your skin, this really helps build up damaged skin protective layer by protecting moist from getting lost.

You see, your skin has a fatty layer to prevent moist dehydration but if the layer breaks or cracks moist inside the layer dehydrate. By the help of Ceramide that fills into these cracks and breaks, it prevents moist lost.

This really helps Atopic skin, and sensitive skin to regain their strength.

2) Madecassoside, Asiatic Acid

This ingredient is from Centella plant that is known to cure all illness(cool!). These ingredient is often used in medicine that cure skin breaks (ouch!) but the effect may be different depending on the product. When used in medicine it helps rebuild skin, for cosmetic it has less than 1% which can not regenerate skin but helps skin to relax from irritation and moisturizing.
